Stay Prepared for the Heat

As the summer days grow warmer, now is the time to prepare. The heat can cause serious illness, so make a plan and take extra care to prevent yourself from heat related illnesses. For a list of Cool Zones in the County, click here.

Remember to:

Drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles at any time.

Pavement, asphalt or artificial grass can become incredibly hot on animalspaws, so remember to use caution when taking pets outside.
