The Planning Division assists in maintaining and improving the quality of life and the environment through the General Plan Implementation Program and the development review process.

Electronic Plan Review and Permitting:

As of July 1, 2020, the Planning Division began accepting electronic submittals for a variety of projects. Please visit our online services portal ( to take advantage of this new technology. Note that not all projects can be submitted electronically at this point, however we are continually working to expand the list. 

Zoning and Property Information:

The following zoning and property information is provided as a public service for your convenience. Every effort has been made to achieve accuracy, but the Planning Division should be contacted to help verify and provide up-to-date information. The City of Escondido shall not incur any liability for errors or omissions with respect to the information provided in this service.
